About
The Sport Fishing Institute of BC is a nonprofit society. Contributors and members are made up of a wide range of committed stakeholders including fishing lodges, resorts, certified tidal angling guides, hotels, charter operators, manufacturers, distributors, tackle shops, dealers, boat marine manufacturers, insurance industry organizations, regional airlines, and individual anglers. Our common goals are to ensure sustainability of our natural resources and that sustainable angling opportunities are maintained and promoted.
The SFI depends on membership fees and contributions from anglers and the many businesses that serve and benefit from them.

The SFI advocates on behalf of the sport fishing industry, keeping our members informed, engaged and participating. Member benefits also include access to medical and dental insurance plans and more.

Certified Tidal Angling Guide
Working with the Government of British Columbia, SFI has created the Certified Tidal Angling Guide (CTAG) program to train and certify qualified guides in order to promote the safety and enjoyment of anglers in B.C.
